Felici Fanfare - Find out what Zohe and Co. are making a big whoop about!
Cigar Row is an ISES member who attended Event World in Dallas earlier this month, and it brought back memories.
Growing up I was more of a tom boy. I loved hanging out with the boys.
Once I learned to play poker I never looked back! (I was in my 20′s silly, how young did you think I was talking about)?
When I moved to Austin after college the “Cigar and Martini” bars were an upcoming trend. Bars would showcase a creative martini menu and upscale environment which included ‘cigar rooms’ for your puffing enjoyment. I loved it! I tried my first apple-tini in one DELISH!
At The Pearl of Havana Fundraising Gala I produced in 2007 carried a 1950′s Cuban theme, which included a cigar lounge. Needles to say it was a popular hang out area the night of the event, even for the co-chairs below.
There are a number of ways that you can incorporate cigars into your corporate event, celebration, bachelor party or hey, JUST THE GIRLS poker night party!
In honor of Fiesta currently going on in Santa Barbara, we are sharing this Hacienda Themed party we produced for UCSB’s Board of Regents. This thirty-five year old Old Spanish Days celebration is a reminder of the Mexican spirit of the town and preservation of the heritage.
I was tickled pink to have been hired to produce this event, because I was born in Mexico City, and celebrated first-hand the folklore of the culture. One philosophy I carry with producing my events, is incorporating the five senses in order to enhance the guest experience.
From the sights and beauty of decor:
(sombreros and daisy’s floating in the pool)
(the view of the Santa Ynez Mountains and Hacienda style home – featured on Architectural Digest – location helped)
The sound of an incredibly talented all female Mariachi band – Mariachi Reyna de Los Angeles
The smell and taste of authentic Mexican Food by Cowboy Flavor which we showcased in a mercado-style custom built buffet.
Down to flan for dessert and a coffee station incorporating the colors and textiles of Mexican ceramics from Classic Party Rentals
Indisputably perfect ingredients for another Felici Event!

According to our weather report, Independence Day this year will be warm and sunny. Whether you choose alcoholic or non-alcoholic options, these drinks will be sure to quench your thirst while you celebrate the day!
We stopped by Sur la Table and discovered they are having a 30% off sale on beverage jars, stands and signs just before the holiday! Perfect timing!
These 5 drink recipes include ingredients like watermelon, tequila, and strawberry schnapps.
When preparing this layered drink, make sure the liquid with the highest sugar content is on the bottom.
Check out this blog for this drink recipe!
Loving the blue sugar on the rim of the glasses!
Unique Guest Sign In Idea that Keeps on Giving
It is unbelievable that two years have passed since the Felici Events’ inception in May 2010!
“I may not have all of the answers, but I surround myself with people who do” which is what lead us to create this guest sign in for the launch.
I loved getting guests’ words of wisdom and it proved to be a great way to remember everyone who came and supported me.
This creative and simple alternate to a guest book can be incorporated into any event.
Just add personalization and creativity.
Thanks to everyone who has continued to support me and I look forward to continue growing.
The focus may be on the bride at a wedding, but that doesn’t mean the guys can’t show off their dapper looks too! Let’s face it: unlike brides most men do not like the idea of spending days, let alone hours, to find the perfect attire to wear at a wedding. This is a quick and simple guide that can help. One style for this winter season includes a classic combination of a black suit and tie. Others go for a more unconventional mismatched look with muted colors like greys, browns, and tans. Whether you attend a wedding or are one of the groomsmen, these looks are great style ideas for any male wedding guest to wear.
Vests are great for when the weather turns chilly.
Toms are a popular and comfortable alternative shoe choice!
